A more considered fit.
A practical guide to comparing materials and preparing a size list. This is general buying guidance—not a claim about our current fabric inventory or a substitute for the selected garment’s approved chart.
Ask About Fabrics & SizesCompare characteristics, not just names.
Moisture handling depends on both the fibre and how the fabric is constructed or finished. Moving moisture through a fabric and allowing it to dry are related ideas, but the finished garment must support any specific performance claim.
| Material or feature | What it tells you | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Synthetic fabrics, including polyester or nylon | Commonly used in engineered moisture-wicking garments; structure and finish affect the result. | The actual composition, construction and supported performance of the selected garment. |
| Cotton | Generally absorbs moisture and dries more slowly than moisture-wicking synthetics. | Suitability for the intended use, final blend and care requirements. |
| Blend, knit and finish | A fibre label alone does not describe the whole fabric. | Material specification, feel, construction and compatibility with the proposed design. |
| Garment care | Care can affect the behaviour of a finished fabric. | The actual care label. Fabric softeners can interfere with some engineered wicking finishes. |

Body measurements aren’t garment widths.
First obtain the current chart for the garment and cut you are ordering. Check whether its numbers describe the body or the garment. A body circumference is a measurement around the person; a flat width is a straight measurement across a laid-out garment.
- Use a well-fitting reference garment of a comparable type, if the business asks for garment measurements.
- Lay it flat, smooth out folds and avoid pulling or stretching the fabric.
- For a common T-shirt reference, measure chest width from underarm to underarm and length from the highest shoulder point to the bottom hem.
- Record the units and follow the actual chart if its points or method differ. Do not convert that reference into a guaranteed KhelForge size.
For an in-between measurement or a different desired fit, ask for garment-specific advice. A generic “always size up” rule can be wrong for a particular cut.

One underarm point to the other, across a flat, unstretched garment.
Highest shoulder point to bottom hem, if that is the method used by the supplied chart.
One chart. One list. One approver.
Keep the size collection consistent across the whole team. Record the chart version and units with the list so a later revision cannot silently change the meaning of a size.
- Collect sizes using one agreed chart and measurement method.
- Total the quantities by approved size and compare them with the garment order total.
- List different garment types separately rather than assuming one size works for every piece.
- Resolve fit questions and missing choices before the final list is approved.
- Keep unnecessary player details out of the first enquiry; use only authorised information when personalisation is later needed.

Bring a measurement—not a guess.
Tell us the garment you need and whether your size list is ready. Ask for the current material specification, size chart and measurement method before collecting the final quantities.
